australian shepherds our good hikers and are very athletic and agile. they will listen when you call them and wont stray too far or try to hunt as much as a hound. they will follow you around too. my aussie goes with me into woods about everyday and i let her run off and play. they love to jump through all sorts of obstacles in the woods and find you pretty cool stuff. you can call them whenever you want and before you know it they will be by your side with their wigglebutt

Labs for sure, they’re the most popular pups for a reason. They have a soft mouth, so they’re good for retrieving. Webbed paws, so they’re amazing swimmers. Also they’re quick and very happy-spirited, all around good dogs. Easy to be trained and always eager to please.
