I usually make 100+ collars at a time, so I thought you might enjoy seeing the process. I’m working on Halloween and Autumn themed collars in this session.

I use nylon webbing …
I use nylon webbing for my large collars, and it does a great job. You might want to take some uncompleted collars to a shop that sells sewing machines and give them a test drive. My Janomes are pretty pricy, so I wouldn’t want you to invest without trying them first. HTH! S in TX

Thanks for the info! Would your machine go through webbing as well? I am looking for a home sewing machine that will sew through the webbing for pet collars. Thanks for your help!

My favorite machine is the Janome MC6600P–it sure makes life easier when making 100+ at a time!

Sorry to be so slow …
Sorry to be so slow in responding! I use webbing only on the size large collars and actually sew the finished fabric collar to it befroe adding the hardware. I really like the extra strength that it adds for the larger breeds. My customers agree.

is there Nylon …
is there Nylon webbing inside of the fabric to make it stronger? I cant see how the collar would be strong enough with out the webbing… You wouldnt be able to iron the nylon webbing though…
