Hi, the Mioritic shepherd is not a rare breed. It’s a Romanian breed, and not well known abroad, maybe, but not extinct…

Thanks for the compilation. We lucked out and are the owners of a Red Thai Ridgeback. And I do not understand why these great dogs are not more popular. They are incredibly well tempered and loyal dogs.
I love the look of the Chongqing dog, I hope they are able to bring them from the brink of exctinction.

Really? Well, that’a a very good news. Maybe it’s about the regions, or something. For example, over here, the Mioritic, the Moscow Watchdog, the South Russian, Central Asian or even Kangal, are pretty offten. Anyhow, I’m really glad to hear that the Tibetan Mastiff is so well bred over there.

They are rare but not as rare as some dogs now !in the uk they have about 100 puppies a year now and that to me is not rare anymore

I have a South russian terrier. Im actually the only one in my town that has one. He is 8 yrs old, 105 lbs, and 25 inches to shoulder. He is a big boy!!
