What is the best dog breed for lure coursing?

I’m just getting into the sport of sighthounds and I want to know what dog breed is best. I’ve heard of the Greyhound but I wanted to know if someone had experience with another breed.
I think the people mentioning beagles and jack russell’s are mistakenly talking about agility. Lure coursing is speed and agility. The one mentioning the borzoi, saluki and greyhound is on the right track. I have two greyhounds and it’s a big thing in our club SEGC http://www.greyhoundadoption.org/. But our main focus is adopting Greyhounds straight off the track to save their lives. If you did that, you would be saving a life as well as enjoying your lure coursing interest.

depending on your size preference,
any of the Beagles or the Harrier’s are top notch lure dogs…..I have a Champion Beagle.

no, the saluki is the best, greyhounds are a little faster, but saluki’s can run for miles, as the greyhound can only go… a mile or less
type in saluki coursing on youtube and you’ll see
