My Bichon was easy to housebreak. She cannot be trusted off of her leash, because she blitzes, and loud trucks make her nervous. She is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. She is what I call my living teddybear.

I love this breed. They’re sweet, sweet dogs who just want to impress you, and would easily do a back-flip if they could. These dogs are also phenomenal with children. My Bichon is a regular part of the family. You’d be surprised how much you fall in love with yours.

    You need to …
You need to associate the act of pooing to something? I associated pooing and peeing to the words “potty outside” – now, whenever I say “potty outside” my little baby goes through her doggy door and takes care of her business outside.

  24. Benten5842 Says:

    I guess I was very …
I guess I was very lucky, he was extremely easy to housebreak. He pooed inside only one time(first time I got him home at 8 weeks) and within four days he never peed inside either. And he has not had an accident apart from one time he had a stomage virus.

They are usually very smart dogs. I can tell mine a child is afraid and he will be calm around that child, but play with the others.

He is extremely good with children, truely loves them.
The negative about the breed is the grooming.
