She’s only had the name for about a month, and she doesn’t respond to it. I don’t think it will confuse her at all.
We recently changed a 10 year old dogs name from Spud to Buster with no problems. (He was responding really well to his new name in less than a week.) I wouldn’t worry about keeping the name too similar. The only thing that Buster has in common with Spud is the first vowel sound. That said, here are a few suggestions.
